What is RSS?
RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. By subscribing to a RSS feed you can stay abreast of updates here at CharlesMartinBooks.com, and other web sites such as CNN, ESPN, etc. Whenever new content is added to the web site your Feed Reader will notify you of the update.
How Do I Use RSS Feeds?
RSS feeds can be read using software called a "RSS Reader", which can be either web-based or desktop-based. To subscribe to a feed you will first need to obtain a RSS Reader.
Popular RSS Readers include Google's Reader (personal favorite), My Yahoo!, or My AOL. Additional solutions include Bloglines, Rojo, or Newsgator.
In addition many newer browsers have the ability to read feeds, such as Mozilla's Firefox, Apple's Safari web browser, as well as Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7. All the the web-based services are free.
Once your RSS Reader is set up you can then subscribe to as many feeds as you desire.
