I loved The Rivers End.  Southern writing just gets better. I loved the history of the St Marys river, the different little towns have such sweet memories for me.  Kings Ferry and the small landings nearby were places my mother in law loved. She was raised on this river . Cant wait to read another one. This will not be my only Charles Martin book.

wow.......incredible......you moved me to tears and more tears.....you showed the love of Christ through a man named Doss..............wow.......thank you for one of the best books i have ever read!!  it will pass through the hands of many friends but it will come back to me as one of my keepers!!!

the story got my attention in the beginning, yes i do like a good love story, but i liked the idea also of him being an outdoors kind of person..personally though i found the story to be too fanciful..yes obviously aside from the characters mishaps, abbie’s sickness and doss’s upbringing..i found myself rolling my eyes as i was reading..everything was too perfect and predictable..and i found myself wondering if it was a documentary on the river sometimes..as doss would talk about it, it just seemed like the author was just relaying facts rather than an actual person thinking and speaking..sorry i was disappointed in it
