My First 14’er
Posted in The Kitchen Sink on Fri, July 24, 2009
Mountains have always had an allure with me. “It’s there. Let’s go climb it.”
Christy and I were in Colorado with the boys this summer and I got to climb Mt. Princeton. My first 14’er. Meaning, it’s peak sits above 14,000’. A great moment. Also, pics from my time on the ropes course. Another good moment.
I just finished “When Crickets Cry”. It usually takes me 2 weeks to read a book because I read slow and I have 4 girls that keep me busy. But I read this book in 2 1/2 days. I couldn’t put it down. It was absolutely an amazing story. Thank you so much. I just ordered 4 more of your books. I love the way your words bring out the readers emotions and thoughts and it felt good to cry tears of joy.
I’m interested to have a copy of this one. I really like to read this kind of books. I don’t know, I just feel at peace everytime I’m reading stories like this one.
Holy cow, I can’t believe some of you hiked that mountain in SNEAKERS. Good grief talk about no support.
