If you have read Maggie please post your thoughts by adding a comment.
I really enjoyed this book! I first read The Dead Don’t Dance and was going crazy because I couldn’t find Maggie. But I finally got it and read is very quickly! :) It was awesome. Are you thinking about doing another book about if Dylan and Maggie finally had a baby or adopted? I really liked the storyline including Bryce, Amos, and Amanda. :)
Have just finished reading The Dead Don’t Dance & Maggie both. Loved them both. I even went back & started reading TDDD again to try to find out: How did Dylan hurt his arm? It is mentioned several times in both books so I must be missing something. Also, in Maggie, when Dylan & Amos went to look at a body that could’ve been Amanda, Amos says she has a birthmark on her left hip. On the next page, Dylan asks Amos which hip the birthmark is on & Amos says, “Right.” Is there a hidden meaning in the different answers? Thank you so much for sticking to your guns & becoming an author. I have also read When Crickets Cry & have purchased Chasing Fireflies to read. You have a gift. Thank you & God bless!
Maggie made me both laugh and cry. I have read all of Charles Martin’s books except Chasing Fireflies and thats only because my cousin is reading it.
The Dead Don’t Dance was incredible!!!!! So I had to find Maggie to read. Both books should be turned into a movie!!!!!!! You have a most incredible talent of breathing complete life into the pages of your books. I have never read a book that touched every emotion possible, and enjoyed those feelings.
Truly a great Book !!!
Its wonderfull site.
Maggie got me hooked on Charles Martin books. It was awesome!. I have read, and own, every book he has written, and they are all fantastic, but “Maggie” is still my favorite.
I h ave read several of your books now and I wanted to share with you that you should NEVER, ever give a dog chocolate. It can cause their death. Please do not put this in any other writing you do. Basically, I like your stories and enjoy your books and I have done some proofing for an author so I am really sensitive to facts and ideas.
I loved, loved, loved this return to Digger and the characters that I had already fallen for...especially the back-story on Bryce. I have a penchant for murder mysteries and thrillers, and didn’t expect to find this particular book would meet my need for suspense...it was a nail-biter. My husband may have to take away my lamp b/c I could not go to sleep until I got to the end!
Since I hadn’t chased down the publication dates, I didn’t realize until now that When Crickets Cry came between TDDD and Maggie. I wish I had read them in regular print (they were only available in large print at our library). I can’t help but think that the larger print warped my view towards seeing TDDD and Maggie as more simply written. (I’ll have to track one down in regular print and read it again--a pleasure to be sure!) I still think WCC was more tightly woven than TDDD, but that may just be my past history as an RN and my love for dramas with a medical twist.
