My latest video update—a walk down memory lane, a conversation with my boys and my two cents on the whole Tebow thing.
Thanks for the video. I agree whole-heartedly! Kids are smart, aren’t they? Mine amaze me every day.
Hello there Martin,
I am from Malaysia and I just finished reading your book, Where the River Ends.
It has kept me crying, laughing, and most of all LOVED. Thank u for your gift of hope in the
book.
Will definitely try to find your other books to read. :)
Jesus bless,
Elina
I can’t believe I read the whole book at one setting. (Who needs sleep anyhow) Just finished “The mountain between us”. Can’t put these books down. I’ve read everyone so far. Your books are the best. You put the reader right into the story. Can’t wait for the next. Please, Please keep writing.
Since discovering your books I have not read anything else. Thank you for not burying the purpose and beauty of your stories in trash talk and trash behavior. Your work is refreshing and a joy to experience. I can’t put them down! All the best to you and yours-
Enjoyed your 2-cents on Tim Tebow. “Critics hate Who he (Tim) loves”. How true that is! Football is temporary, even for Tim Tebow, but in the meantime, he’s using it to share the love of Christ and he will continue to be a witness long after football is over. Oh, and by the way, I love reading your books!!!
Thank you for your books! I just finished Mountain Between Us. I read Wrapped In Rain and When Crickets Cry. Your writing reminds me of the places inside me I want to stay buried. But God tells me buried is not good. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. God is using you in an awesome way. I wish I was so brave. Thank you. We love Tim Tebow also!
Friends have given me lots of reasons why the Tim Tebow thing bothers them and I can’t remember one who said, or implied , that it was because they “hated who he (Tim) loves”. By assuming that critics of Tim Tebow hate God you bring yourself down to their level. I came to this sight because I read your book , Where the River Ends, and wanted to find out about the Author of a book that touched me so deeply. Now, I’m not so sure what I think, but, I do plan on reading more of your books. Your writing is very beautiful.
Just finished reading “When Crickets Cry” for the second time. I love that book...I have so many lines highlighted that what I really want to do is sit down and type them so I can keep them in one place! Your insight really does touch the heart. I just listened to your take on Tim Tebow...very refreshing! I am not sure that the critics hate who Tim Tebow loves, but they certainly do not embrace the love of God the way Tebow does. I don’t think anyone is paying attention to the critics, but they are taking note of Tim....just like your sons! I bought my daugher, a freshman at PSU, Tebow’s book. Now, I am on line trying to find a new book of yours to read. I found one and it looks like another one is be released soon! Thanks for some great reads! Julia Lovins
Good for you, Charles Martin!! You keep talking to your boys and keep encouraging them. And ver be ashamed to love who the critics hate!
I really love your books. Just started Thunder and Rain and I’m “into it” right away. I am not very patient when it comes to reading books because there are so many good books out there that if I’m not captured by the third chapter I move on to the next book. LOL! Anyways, I love what you said about Tebow. I’m a Tebow fan too, because of his heart...for Jesus and for football. Our 19 year old son is starting quarterback this year for a junior football team called Regina Thunder. So football plays a big part in our family’s life. It’s his third year with the team this year and his first year starting. Or as he puts it, the starting position is his to lose! Anyways, I was moved as I listened to your video blog and just wanted to thank you for sharing.
