Mail From the Road

More reader mail. I sometimes wonder if my books reach the places in people that I hope they do. Stuff like this helps.
“It was so nice to meet Charles today in Clayton. I’ve read all of his books, including his latest, Where the River Ends. He just consistently writes books with incredible stories, that are hard to put down (I stayed up till 2:30 one night this week because I just had to finish WTRE). More than an appealing story, is a story that speaks to the heart, that causes you to examine your own thoughts, feelings and relationships. WTRE challenges me to strive to be a wife who loves unselfishly and lavishly, knowing that how and when the end comes is only known by God and I want no regrets.”
My daughter and I are avid readers. After I read, When Cricket Cry, I told her she had to read it. Within 24 hours she had ordered all of Charles Martins books and we devoured them all. My alltime favortie book in the world was To Kill A Mockingbird, until now (and I am over 60) Cricket goes to the top of my list. Kristy and I had the great pleasure to meet Charles Martin Saturday in the small town of Clayton, GA. We said we had to look into his eyes to see where these great sensitive stories come from. We left him with the only comment we could, Keep Writing.
I am really enjoying your books. I showed my granddaughter you picture on the back.
