I’m in Texas researching my next book. It involves a Texas Ranger. No, not the baseball player. The law enforcement kind. I came out here, met a retired Ranger named Brantley Foster and he arranged it so I could play cowboy for a day. I did. It’s official. After forty years of life on this planet, I’m finally a cowboy.
Well, okay...sort of.
From rivers to snowy mountains to a Texas range. I love that I can experience the beauty of nature from my comfortable urban home :) Even though I just finished your latest book, I already can’t wait for the next!
I’ve just finished my 1’st read by Charles(Cowboy Charlie),key word 1’st! I read the 1’st chapter and was hooked. The Moutain Between Us has it ALL! I can almost always guess the ending. Surprise, surprise, surprise! I not only have a new author to follow, but made a new close friend. Can’t wait for the movie.
YES! Texas. Good place for inspiration. My mom and I love your books. :)
I’m a little behind, but A LOT excited to find out about Charles Martin through our church book club this month. When Crickets Cry is our June read. I feel like I’ve happened upon a gold mine...I cannot wait to devour each and every book you have written! Hang on Amazon.com --- my Kindle is about to get really busy!! Speaking from the perspective of a Texas gal, I think you’re in a great place for inspiration and great stories!! Good luck...God bless and KEEP WRITING! :)
Oooh! Texas Ranger! That sounds like a great start already. The Mountain Between Us was SOOOOO worth the wait! I was again amazed with the beauty of your writing and I love your dialog. Thanks!
I have never anticipated the arrival of a book as I did The Mountain Between Us. It is because I knew the one who wrote it wouldn’t disappoint me. I could hardly put it down and when I finished it, I wanted to cry because it was over. But I wanted to know how it ended, so I kept reading and reading. I think this one is your best one yet, I never suspected the ending, I was totally surprised. Hurry and write another one, I will be waiting.
Okay. You did it again. You just keep besting yourself which each book. LOVED The Mountain Between Us - the ending really threw me for a loop. Being a Texas native, I can’t wait for the next one. I have a pretty good idea where you were “horsing” around. Heard about a speaking engagement you have coming up in August and I plan to be there riveted on every word. Thank you for your sharing such a creative blessing that you have with words.
