Florida Times Union features “Where The River Ends”
Posted in Press Reviews on Fri, July 18, 2008
Charlie Patton is one of my favorite writers at the Florida Times Union. I first got to know him when he wrote an article about the The Dead Don’t Dance in 2003. This is his follow-up article (PDF) about Where the River Ends which printed yesterday.
I just finished your book bought from Barnes and Nobles which included your signature. After your quote I noticed three dots ... I am wondering if that is added because you have three children. I do some painting, oil, watercolor and china, and I put five dots after my name to represent my five children. From 1967 to 2001 we lived at 901 Vale Orchard Lane, which is just past your grandparents home. So I have followed your writing and am also proud of what you have accomplished. I was unable to attend your party Sat. night but look forward to another time. Fondly, Margaret
